Choline: An Essential Nutrient for Improving Prenatal Development, Pregnancy Outcomes and Ongoing Health

Marie A. Caudill, PhD, RD, is a professor at Cornell University in the Division of Nutritional Sciences and is internationally recognized for her research on both folate and choline. Her recent work focuses on choline needs during pregnancy and identifying intake levels that promote optimal maternal and child health and well-being. Specifically, she has researched choline intake levels and their effects on circulating cortisol levels in infants, as well as the production of preeclampsia risk factor.
