Developed to support managers and staff members of newborn nurseries, labor and delivery units, postpartum units, and pediatric units; and for nurses, pediatricians, hospital administrators, hospital security personnel, and hospital risk managers.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Identify the behavioral profile of an infant abductor and detect a potential infant abductor
- Discuss topics to include when educating parents about infant abduction
- Identify infant abduction trends in health care facilities
- Describe methods for preventing, recognizing, and documenting an infant abduction or attempted abduction
