A Resource to Help Prevent Infant Abductions

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children® has created a 3-part video resource to help prevent infant abductions from the hospital setting. The video includes a behavior profile of offenders, considers infant abduction trends in healthcare facilities, summarizes regulatory requirements and professional standards, and provides practical methods for preventing infant abduction.

Target Audience:

Developed to support managers and staff members of newborn nurseries, labor and delivery units, postpartum units, and pediatric units; and for nurses, pediatricians, hospital administrators, hospital security personnel, and hospital risk managers.
